Sue and Rod refreshed after doing battle on the waters of Mallet's Bay, Vermont

Sue, Rod, Zack and Clay Mentzer

Boat Name: No Problems
2000 Cardinal Buccaneer
Sail Number: 5210

Rod and Sue are currently living at Ft. Monmouth, NJ. They have two boys, Zack and Clay, who are taking junior sailing because they refuse to learn from mom. Sue and the boys love living near the ocean. Rod hopes to someday retire and sail up and down the east coast. Sue is game to give it a try.

Fleet Captain's note:
What Sue has failed to mention is that she is Fleet 76's regional champion and an awesome sailor. Robin had a chance to crew for Sue up at Frank's place last year and came away with "Gee, Bryan, Sue is fantastic. She's never out of control, keeps the boat flat. She anticpates everything. Knows when the wind's going to shift, when there's a puff and is ready for it before it happens.

Sue comes by it naturally. Her father is Harry Sindle, former Buccaneer 18 Class national champion and builder of the Bucc 18. Sue has been sailing since before she was born.

Rod has become a very good sailor himself and all indications are that Zack and Clay will take up the gauntlet.
